VVO Lehtovuori

City of Helsinki arranged a competition of a new area of small houses in Konala, northern Helsinki, in autumn 2001. The city plan of the area (by the City Planning Department / Leena Lukkarinen-Annila) is dense, the effectiveness of a block having a ratio 0,5 (built area / total area), on top of which 20% more is allowed for secondary premises.

VVO Rakennuttaja Oy won the competition with our design proposal. According to the jury review our proposal had the most versatile, fresh and economically competitive apartments.

The area was realized according to the winning proposal and the total floor area built was 10 917 sqm, consisting of 88 apartments altogether.

All the architectural design was modelled in 3D BIM.

The area was finished in summer 2005.
