Sauna Tostholm

The oblong, simple volume is placed parallel to the shoreline. An opening through the volume creates a very natural path between the cottage further up from the shore and the jetty. This has brought new dimensions to the daily movement between the cottage and the shore. The division created by the opening reflects the functions of these two parts: the grey part is a dressing room and the warm-red part houses a sauna. These colours are found in neighboring buildings. The gray panel of the dressing room is continued on the seaside with a rougher type of panel as an answer to the harsh climate of the sea.
